What is an asset deal?
An asset deal is the purchase of individual assets of a company (for example machinery, patents, real estate) instead of the purchase of all the shares in the company. As a result, the buyer only takes over the assets it wants and not the company’s liabilities. This allows a flexible and targeted acquisition of assets.
